This coffee scoop is handmade by Christopher, a 42-year-old from Machakos. He began his woodworking journey as a sander and grew into a carver. Since 2006 Christopher has been living and working in Kibera. Each scoop is unique and each piece of olive wood is carefully selected from Narok County and can take up to 2 hours to carve.
Product Details
— Material: Olive Wood
— Each Scoop captures 7g of coarse-ground coffee. Use two scoops (14g) per cup of coffee. A typical 500ml french press/plunger requires 4 scoops of 28 (g) to make two cups of coffee.
— Handcrafted in Kenya
Care
After every use wipe down with a soft dry cloth. Once a week wash with water and dry immediately with a soft dry cloth. As required apply a spot of coconut oil to help it to last forever.
Jewellery
— Clean your brass jewellery with soapy water, lemon juice or professional brass polish (we recommend Brasso)
— Buff with a soft cloth for shine.
— Remove when swimming or showering, and avoid immersion with harsh liquids.
Home Goods
— Do not immerse storage baskets in water, spot clean with water and soap as required.
— For linens, machine or hand wash on cool and hang dry. Iron, do not bleach.
