I'm Chetna, the founder of Ashepa. I was born in Kenya, with a creative bug and a deep passion for the wealth of craftsmanship native to the country I love. Through my travels around Kenya I was fascinated with the vast array of tribal culture and the distinct but commonly soulful crafts that are produced. 

After finding my new home in Asia, I wanted to connect the region to the timeless art of my home country. In doing so, I hope to open just a small window to the magic I found on each encounter with these great artisans and the beauty that they create.

Ashepa means happiness and that is exactly what we are hoping to spread with this collection. We sell jewellery, homeware, and accessories to people who have a passion for handmade items and a love for the energy, commitment, time and quality that goes into the pieces. No piece is ever the same.

The pieces you will you find are designed by myself or personally handpicked by myself for you. The pieces are contemporary and bring a modern luxury using the traditional skillset.

I design the items you see and work directly with a few handpicked artisans to make these come to life. More often than not, these craftsmen come from impoverished backgrounds. Other items you see are unique pieces picked by myself for you.
